Our Mountain Bird Life Winter Trip involves a walk amongst beautiful mountain scenery, through forested peaks and later into a spectacular gorge. We run this trip from December to February. We can expect to see the magnificent Griffon Vulture, always an amazing sight but especially so in such dramatic surroundings.

The mountain peaks provide wintering grounds for another fascinating bird – the Alpine Accentor. Quality views of these wonderful birds makes the short walk well worth the effort.

This trip can also provide the opportunity to enjoy other mountain / forest species such as Crested Tit, Rock Bunting, Blue Rock Thrush, Sardinian Warbler, Crag Martin, Chough and Raven.
